Partition Magic Bootable Cd
Ok, I'm still looking on my own as well as waiting for replies here.
I came a cross this post from a couple of months back with a seemingly straightforward solution -
External HD 4TB - 2 Partitions To MBR [2TB Each] Solved - Windows 7 Help Forums
but it doesn't work, and gives this error, even when the drive is partitioned in to 2 or even 3 parts (can you see the img? I can't) -
Edit rather than flood the post with more comments:
Bottom line seems to be that no backup software I've tried will create a rescue media on a GPT drive, and despite google being full of people who've apparently managed it, I can't seem to make the drive MBR without loosing 2tb (tried Windows disk manager, CMD diskpart, Minitool partition manager and EaseUS partition manager).
If all else fails I'll have to put the rescue media on a small flash drive, but knowing my luck it will be nowhere to be found when I need it most, so if anyone can still help me figure out how to get the full 4tb on MBR so I can store both backup files and rescue media in one place, you'd be doing me a massive favour.
Thanks!
